CIMB-Principal declares income distributions for 6 funds

KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB-Principal Asset Management Bhd (CIMB-Principal) has declared income distributions for six unit trust funds - comprising money market, fixed income and mixed assets funds - for the period ended Dec 31, 2009.

It said on Friday, Feb 5 the gross distribution per unit for the CIMB-Principal Money Market Income Fund was 0.56 sen, CIMB-Principal Strategic Bond Fund (5 sen), CIMB-Principal Institutional Bond Fund 2 (1.94 sen) and CIMB-Principal Bond Fund (4.60 sen).

For the CIMB-Principal Income Plus Balanced Fund, the income distribution was 0.68 sen and CIMB Islamic Balanced Growth Fund (2.12 sen).

CIMB-Principal chief executive officer J. Campbell Tupling said the six funds have performed commendably with all funds outperforming their respective category benchmarks.

"Our fund managers have been effectively creating value for our investors, resulting in income distributions for these 6 funds. With investors' renewed confidence and positive signs of market recovery, 2010 looks set to be a fruitful year for investors," Tupling said.
