Axiata rises, set to be best-performing stock

AXIATA Group Bhd, a Malaysian mobile phone operator, rose the most in almost two weeks, set to be the largest gainer on the Kuala Lumpur benchmark stock index today.

The stock climbed for a third day, adding 2.8 per cent to RM3.36 at 10:11am local time, set for its steepest advance since Jan. 20.

It’s the index’s best performer so far this year with a 10-percent gain. Axiata was upgraded to “outperform” from “underperform” at RHB Research Institute Sdn.

Its share price forecast was increased to RM3.85, RHB said in a report on Jan. 29.
