BURSA Malaysia Derivatives on Thursday registered its highest ever monthly trading volume as at since the exchange’s inception with 713,667 contracts, surpassing the previous high of 666,272 contracts in March 2008.
The monthly volume of crude palm oil futures contract (FCPO) in April this year also registered an all-time high at 442,220 contracts with an average daily volume of 20,101 contracts.
This surpassed the previous record high of 360,870 contracts with an average daily volume of 16,403 contracts in November 2006. —
