THE Securities Investors Association Singapore (SIAS), in collaboration with Bursa Malaysia Bhd, will organise a retail investment seminar in Singapore today to generate interest among Singaporean investors in Malaysian listed securities.
Themed "Malaysia Day 2009", the event is sponsored by Bursa Malaysia for the fourth year running, both bourses said in a joint statement in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.
"Singapore investors, who have been long-time investors in Malaysian stocks, are looking for good picks. The current credit crunch and financial market meltdown has heightened investment opportunities for investors," said SIAS president and chief executive officer David Gerald. - Bernama
