SHARES closed 0.87 per cent higher yesterday, boosted by Wall Street's strong overnight gains, dealers said.
The blue-chip Straits Times Index rose 22.74 points to 2,634.63.
Volume totalled 2.17 billion shares worth 1.8 billion Singapore dollars and there were 409 rising issues, 121 losers while 709 were even. - AFP
