KUALA LUMPUR: TELEKOM MALAYSIA BHD [] (TM) retracted a filing made to Bursa Malaysia that the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) board was no longer a substantial shareholder in TM.
It had earlier yesterday ‘inadvertently released’ a shareholding change filing stating that EPF had ceased to be a substantial shareholder.
“We confirm that the EPF board is still TM’s substantial shareholder, as disclosed through our Form 29B announcement released earlier today,” it said in its statement, adding that the error was regretted.
According to another filing yesterday, after recent transactions, EPF holds a direct 11.07% stake (396.02 million shares) and indirect interest 1.59% (56.82 million shares).
