Because our feelings are so individualized, there are about as many reasons for people burning out as there are people! But all those reasons can be put into two (2) basic categories:
(1) People burn out because they fail to reach their goals. The common reasons are:
-Their goals are unrealistically high;
-They don't work hard enough or they make a series of bad decisions.
(2) People burn out because they reach their goals and are disappointed. The common reasons are:
-They set goals that are too low.
-The goals do not satisfy the needs they had expected them to meet.
-Others do not recognize their achievements such as spouse, family, etc.
